Role Summary
Vice President – IT is a senior technology leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s IT strategy. This role oversees enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and OT (Operational Technology) security to ensure resilience, compliance, and innovation. The VP – IT will lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives, manage risk, and safeguard critical systems while driving operational excellence. With 20+ years of experience, the ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on expertise in infrastructure, security frameworks, and emerging technologies, fostering a secure and future-ready IT environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across the enterprise.
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, cloud environments).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of systems.
Cybersecurity & OT Security:
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Implement advanced threat detection, incident response, and risk management practices.
- Secure OT environments, including industrial control systems and IoT devices.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
- Manage audits and risk assessments.
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing IT team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, security, and operational excellence.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Negotiate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 20+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and OT security.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, networking, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale IT operations and transformation projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
- ITIL, PMP for process and project management.
