Engineered for Responsible Growth
Digital infrastructure is foundational. As demand for AI and hyperscale capacity accelerates, BDx aligns digital expansion with disciplined execution and measurable, verifiable ESG outcomes.
ESG at BDx is embedded, not appended. It shapes how our campuses are powered, how performance is measured and disclosed, and how our teams operate in every market we serve, supported by a formal policy framework and transparent, verified reporting.
ESG Strategy
Five pillars. The framework behind every BDx campus, from carbon to community.
01Decarbonize Responsibly
Build a measurable pathway to reduce operational emissions and improve carbon transparency across the portfolio.
02Energize Responsibly
Advance reliable lower-carbon energy solutions and renewable-energy procurement where market structures and availability allow.
03Operate Efficiently
Improve energy performance through AI-enabled monitoring, high-density design, advanced cooling and continuous operational optimization.
04Source Responsibly
Embed environmental, labour and human-rights expectations into supplier selection and procurement practices.
05Strengthen Communities
Invest in local talent, skills and partnerships that support the digital economies in which BDx operates.
Renewable Energy & Environmental Stewardship
The principles that drive our execution across every megawatt and market.
Efficient AI Design
A 1.30 PUE design target for new AI-campus phases.
Cross-Border Green Energy
50MW Green Energy Partnership with HEXA Renewables, supporting Singapore–Malaysia grid decarbonization.
Hydroelectric Power Pathway
AI Campus 2 at Jatiluhur is advancing lower-carbon power pathways, including a hydroelectric-power arrangement with PJT.
Operational credibility
Efficiency by design. How efficiency is engineered, measured and maintained.
21%
average PUE reduction across CGK1–CGK4
Demonstrates measured operational improvement across multiple sites.
265MWh
energy savings at SIN1
A tangible result from the AI-powered chiller digital twin, supported by a 3.9% chiller-efficiency improvement over nine months.
01
Cooling optimization
→ Airflow management, containment and set-point control, so cooling energy tracks actual load rather than worst case.
02
Plant efficiency
→ Dynamic cooling operation, chilled-water optimization and modernized plant, so equipment runs at its efficient point more of the time.
03
Monitoring and controls
→ Granular metering, BMS integration and automated PUE monitoring, so efficiency is measured continuously rather than estimated.
04
Water stewardship
→ Cooling-tower water-treatment technologies that reduce make-up water demand, where deployed.
05
Site and build measures
→ Embodied-carbon reduction in construction, solar-integrated site systems and power-saving lighting.
Designed for critical workloads. Operated for consistent performance. BDx combines standardized operating practices, resilient infrastructure and continuous asset improvement across its APAC portfolio.
Proven in Extreme Environments
In Singapore, BDx became the first operator to implement the SS 697:2023 Tropical Data Centre Standard in a live multi-tenant facility, raising operating temperatures to cut cooling energy consumption at SIN1, without compromising resilience or customer SLAs, in support of Singapore's Green Data Centre Roadmap.
Governance Built for Scrutiny
Every BDx commitment is backed by a formal Policy Management Framework (PMF) applied consistently across every jurisdiction where we operate.
Ethics & Conduct
A Group Code of Ethics and Conduct benchmarked against leading global technology organizations binding every employee, officer, and business partner.
Speak-Up & Whistleblowing
Protected, confidential reporting channels with jurisdiction-specific whistleblower safeguards across all BDx markets with zero tolerance for retaliation.
External Stakeholder Grievance Mechanism
A formal grievance redressal process open to communities, suppliers, customers, and all external stakeholders.
Board-Level ESG Oversight
ESG performance governed through dedicated committee oversight with defined accountability from site operations to Group leadership.
Our People, Our Communities
People & Inclusion
An inclusive, equitable workplace across every BDx market, with equal opportunity embedded in hiring, development, and leadership across Asia-Pacific.
Occupational Health & Safety
Zero-harm operations across construction and live facilities with ISO 45001-certified safety management, rigorous contractor controls, and continuous training across every site.
Human Rights & Fair Labour
A Group Human Rights Policy grounded in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, protecting labour standards, migrant workers, and community rights across all our jurisdictions.
Community Investment
Long-term social impact through regional programs, including The Teaching Room Charity Foundation and our workforce development partnership with ITE Singapore.
“Sustainability in the AI era is no longer a parallel initiative—it is the baseline for scalable infrastructure. We are engineering Asia-Pacific's growth responsibly by design, not by declaration.”
