Role Summary

SAP FICO functional consultant is mainly responsible for designing, building and deploying SAP-based ERP solutions leading analysis and design in the SAP FI/CO area, often in close cooperation with the clients finance team. Conducting structured testing internally and with users. Ensuring stabilization of the solution and continuous improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice on SAP modules like FICO, MM, PM & PS
  2. Candidate should be able to provide in-depth functionality & features available in SAP HANA.
  3. He should advice customer on how to use the best business processes as provided in SAP.
  4. Collect & Analyse requirements on the following
    • Business processes and parameters
      • Suggest solutions to customer based on best business practices
      • Creation of Functional and Technical Specifications documentation for the project including specifications for customizations, data migration, and system integrations
      • Support functional consultants in designing solutions for the identified gaps
    • Assist in data transfer mapping
      • Data is required to be transferred to SAP from the legacy systems (e.g., Master Data like Material Master, Customer/Vendor master etc.)
    • Determining reporting requirements
      • Standard SAP Reports and any Customized Reporting required.
  5. Assist in the development of business process descriptions
  6. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards and tools/documents
  7. Conduct implementation & training workshops:
    • SAP users training
    • SAP E2E process guidance & documentation
  8. Provide guidance on test plan
    • How to test SAP functionality for the required Business processes and ensure that all scenarios are covered
    • Conduct unit tests based on customer defined scenarios
  9. Coordinate with other module SAP Consultants for Integration requirements.
  10. Provide Functional Specifications to Technical team for customized developments
  11. A history of leading and managing successful ERP projects
Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate or postgraduate in IT or other fields or equivalent AND/OR Evidence of Exceptional ability of the role.
  • 6+ Years of total experience.
